Cryptozoology file - Mystery cats
Because of the cat’s solitary nature, new types of wild cat are occasionally sighted that cannot easily be explained. Small wild cats, in particular, can be difficult to observe in their natural habitat because they are so elusive and often come out only at night to hunt. For this reason, many people are willing to admit there may be some undiscovered species (or subspecies) of cat in the wild! Below are some recent examples of mystery cats, some of which can be more logically explained than others.
- Onza
- Keller's Cat (rabbit-headed cat)
- Tshushima cat
- Mngwa
- Black panther
